MYSTERY JAM MONDAY PART 136

Welcome to the 136th installment of Mystery Jam Monday here at Phish.net. As usual we will be playing for an MP3 download, courtesy of our friends at LivePhish.com / Nugs.Net. The rules haven't changed: you need to correctly identify the song and the date to win. Post your guess in the comments. One guess per person per day (with the second “day” starting after I post the hint). A hint will be posted on Tuesday (if necessary) and the answer will be posted on Wednesday. Good luck...

Wednesday Answer: Congrats to PhreePhish for being quick on the draw with the 6/29/00 "Drowned." The Blog will return on Monday with another Mystery Jam...

Phart_Door Damn, that was my guess too.

Can we get another MJ? That was too easy!

Babyrattlesnakes That was fun.

mcgrupp81 Yeah, that's confirmed. Starts in the 13-14 min mark. Funny too because I just started relistening to 2000 a few days ago and I plan on listening to the 6/29 show on Wednesday. I forgot how good some of those Japan jams were. The 6/15 Ghost is a superb performance.

Satansdogs23 That was sweet. Don't know what it was but I enjoyed the hell out of it.

Yes, 2000-06-15 is fantastic! I really love that DWD jam. Also, a humorous YEM vocal jam. "Bobby?"

GottaJibboo This is one of the best jams in Phish history. It is also one of the best segues in Phish history as it flows right into Rock and Roll. This show actually has 2 of the top 10 segues in Phish history in my opinion. The Drowned> RnR and Catapult> Heavy Things are superb. I know what you're thinking, who cares about Heavy Things? But this version is not to be missed. It's unfortunate because this Drowned and RnR are so strong, not to mention BOAF, that this Heavy Things often gets overlooked.

If for some reason you hear this mystery jam and haven't heard the entire version, stop what you're doing, go to Phishtracks, and make sure you bring tissues.....

whatstheuse324 I love those two PNC shows, 6/28 and 6/29/00. Second set was the official bust out of the Japanese Meatstick.

lititzphan darn, first time I was sure of it, and I'm beaten to the punch. Got into Phish late< I wore these 2 shows out early on, the Gin from 6/28 is the bomb, awesome high energy shows.
, comment by sirhotpants
sirhotpants I sort of thought it was the 6/28 Gin at first, so it's funny that it turned out to be this (I think something from this run was an MJM a few months ago, right?) I remember having great seats at that show and thinking how over-the-top the Gin was, and what a Drowned fiend I was at the time so it was an amazing couple of shows.

J_D_G I remember being so enthused by this jam as it happened, my friend and I had someone take a picture of us during it, like we were at the Grand Canyon or something. I also held up a sticker that said "Woo hoo!"
